Web20 mei 2024 · The influence of p53 on cellular metabolism is complex and involves multiples nodes of regulation (summarised in Figure 1 ). p53 changes the activity of multiple metabolic pathways, including glycolysis, mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation and fatty acid synthesis via transcriptional and non-transcriptional regulation. WebThe present study suggests that metformin may induce ferroptosis by inhibiting autophagy via H19, and this discovery may facilitate the development of novel therapies for the treatment of breast cancer.
