WebIntroduction 1 The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 (the Regulations)* came into force on 1 April 1990. The purpose of the Regulations is to require precautions to be taken against the risk of death or personal injury from electricity in work activities. The full text of the Regulations, which includes those parts relevant to WebElectricity at Work Regulations (EAWR) 1989 training is intended for personnel who work directly with electricity, and those who have responsibility for the health and safety of employees in their workplace. Delegates will interpret the Electricity of Work Regulations 1989 and learn to apply the regulations in a workplace.
